I know I joked around about my great disappointment in hurricane Irene, but I recently discovered that she caused some very serious damage in regions that shouldn't have been affected. It wasn't the actual hurricane we had to worry about, but the FLOODING that resulted, and certain small communities up north have suffered greatly. (Yes I know there was serious flooding in my state. Sebastian Bach's house in south Jersey was destroyed!) While New Jersey can easily overcome the damage, I'm afraid many small town communities cannot. Not without help, that is.
Please read this blog, there are pictures and a full report of what happened.

Well I'm sort of tapped out at the moment..
That's ok Joe. Many authors I know have contributed either money or books to not only this library, but a few others affected in the region. So alls well that ends well.
... well now I feel cheap and insensitive. Thanks. Thanks a lot...

Nah, don't fret. You bring joy to me in many other ways. There never was any expectations that went along with my post.
